Elvin Tolentino, born on June 24, 1991 in Bonao, Dominican Republic, is a visual artist whose training in the arts began at the Plaza de la Cultura art school, under the tutelage of maestro Cándido Bidó, where he graduated as a Professor of Plastic Arts in 2013.

With a distinguished career, he has been honored with his country's highest honors, including the National Youth Award, as well as distinctions such as El Gran Bosco for Youth of the Year and Outstanding Youth of Bonao, awarded by the Presidency of the Republic and the Mayor's Office, respectively.

Internationally, his work has been recognized by institutions such as the Málaga Provincial Council in Spain and the Dominican Embassy in France. His participation in the first delegation of Dominican artists to exhibit at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris is particularly noteworthy. He has also exhibited his work in important venues in Dubai, such as the World Trade Centre.

In addition to his canvas work, Tolentino has left his mark on prominent spaces through murals, including the Hard Rock Café in Sosúa, the Hilton Hotel in La Romana, and the Courtyard by Marriott in Santo Domingo.

In her compositions, she uses semiotic elements such as leaves, flowers, birds, and animals that symbolize the connection between nature and humankind. Particularly focused on female portraits, she seeks to convey the idea that the fundamental components of our existence are intrinsically linked to the natural environment. With a deep love of beauty and a passion for inspiring through art, Tolentino sees artistic creation as a means to connect with others and generate reflection on our relationship with the world around us.

Elvin Tolentino is the founder of Arte Tolentino, an art gallery located in Bonao, which has a team of artists and professionals responsible for promoting the development of his career.
